I must speak to whomever has access to the ward stone inside Dover. They must have physical access as well as a substantive understanding of wards and rituals. Who should I address?

Eventually we'll need to discuss my team that was taken at Stornoway and what needs to happen with the dragons.

Our Lord has tasked my group with the 'Tabula Rasa' project. You'll be consulting on the potion regimen for the preparation of the subjects. At the point they are delivered to us they should be nearly completely blanked, but we need to construct a regulated plan to finish the cleaning and insure that they are ready for the next portion of the transformation. The initial test batch will include one from a short range of blood purity, to control for any differences that might introduce. Our Lord may let thugs like Barty play with his current little pets, but the results of Tabula Rasa will be so much more. Shambling, mindless puppets that smash only go so far. These, oh these, will be our unstoppable magical puppets.

You need to prepare to take mind blanked victims and set them for the control spells. Also a continuing regimen to insure that any traces of individuality or independent thought that might bubble up from the original wizard's or witch's personality are suppressed. Start on the background research and prepare to transition to the base location I'll forward to you soon. I'm sure you'll prove yourself with this one.

I hear you’ve been deployed to Ireland. How are you handling the transition? The various couriers I’ve tried to use have all been whingers and overstated the symptoms, even with the protections we provided. One went so far as to find a sympathetic Healer at St Mungo’s and got himself declared “unable to do useful work” and “incapable of handling a broom.” The last potion regime that was tried on a witch was unsuccessful. After that debacle, the new team went back to the start to create new options. It appears that Our Lord declared their animal trials acceptable and offered it to you. I wasn’t ready to approve wizarding trials, and would not have started with one of my brothers, as the homing pigeon trials have been only intermittently successful to date. Given the insightful researcher Our Lord is, if he deemed the runs successful enough to move to wizarding trials, they were ready to be moved to wizarding trials. Since you are still doing your duty, he was right and I was wrong. When you have the chance, I would appreciate a detailed and thorough description of the level of success at suppressing the difficulties with crossing the wards and any side effects you may have been experiencing. A report from someone who I know is not shirking his duties, would be a very helpful point of comparison. Hopefully your analysis will help me to the insight that allowed Our Lord to move forward with this project.

As you are the ranking representative in Ireland at the moment I ought to inform you that we had to contain an incident at a research station over the weekend. Even you don’t need the full details, but the site needed to be purged. As a precaution we also purged the nearby village, Cappoquin. It’s a score or so miles northeast of Cork. They should have taken out everyone involved and those closely related. or potentially exposed Given the usual precautions taken I don’t think it should stir up much unrest, but since you are over on that Merlin-damned island I thought you should be informed.

Yours in Service,
Augustus

I need to review all of the after action reports from Erewash that reference "exploding stones", "blooded rocks", "rune marked pebbles" and similar. The stones could be from thumb to fist sized and worked with blood written letters or carved runes. They would have exploded no earlier than when Tosha struck down the wizard whose body was immediately lost down a burning fissure as a presumed result of the magic backlash of their failed major magical working. If any of your agents got a good look at one before it exploded or was struck by the exploding fragments, that could be very important and I will need to interview them in person. If they still have the fragment that would be wonderful. If they were bloodied by such a fragment, finding it may well be vital to their survival.

The new courier, Crainewold is dead. Healer O’Meara reports that upon arrival at Site ε Crainewold was unable to walk without staggering. After an hour of rest she began incoherently babbling. They flooed at ten this morning and were told by the secretary that Kisnah was unavailable. Two hours later convulsions began. You were still unavailable. Where exactly were you today that you were unavailable to consult on your research during its first testing on a witch? Various potions and the usual spells were tried. She died shortly before four.

In reviewing your report on the potion, I note that you say “three rats survived with no lasting effects”. Exactly how many died after being sent across the wards? How many had “lasting effects” and what were they? If your answers don’t satisfy, I’ll meet you at the apparation point with a dose of your ‘new miracle potion’ tomorrow at ten sharp.

Jameson is under care at St Mungos. They had the temerity to inform me that he can’t fly for ten days and further claim he must be evaluated in a months time before they will ‘allow’ him to cross the wards again. No amount of verbal pressure was swaying them. Some piffle about 'long term irreparable harm.' I’ll give Jenkins the ten days then see if, with proper motivation, he can push for a speedier declaration of his recovery.

Lucius, might you or your son be able suggest a mediocre quidditcher with endurance and discretion who would be idle to impress directly into Our Lord’s service? I would ask Cal but he was making even less sense than normal the last time I attempted discourse. Everyone in the department has a list of excuses as to why they aren’t the best candidate. Some of them are even legitimate.

I missed you at lunch yesterday, are you available to discuss the St Mungo’s situation this weekend?

Jenkins is complaining about being too ill to fly after passing through the wards, and his blasted recovery time is delaying the tests. On his first trip, he made it back that night. This time, even with freshly spelled flying leathers, Jondo claims it took him a full day of recovery before he could make the return trip. Dunstan has already had to find a trusted native courier to finish the trip from the shore to ε. And then after Jam-- or whatever his name is, returns, the leathers need to be respelled and he needs another day before he can make the trip again. Couriers with this clearance level and trust are few and far between. All this whinging will more than double the amount of time necessary for the first phase of Puppet Mirror. Are the leathers truly spelled as well as they can be? This delay is intolerable.

Would you happen to have a copy of Böhm's translation of Vogel’s die ferne Berührung? While Longstreet's is readily available his translation is too lyric and appears to fail to be sufficiently accurate in many key passages. I have the resources to replicate most of Vogel's work, it would be tedious and a waste of time to do so if I can consult a more precise text. I’ve replaced three owls after they lost their way to Malfoy Manor and returned with their letters still attached. Clearly insufficiently trained.

Two dozen. Male. Reasonably healthy. 25 to 35. Delivered Thursday morning to Site θ. Another set, same criteria, additionally they must be as close as possible in physical appearance to the first set delivered to Site ε. Ward difficulties don't matter. Make it happen or Harkiss can deliver himself.

Long term I need identical twins. Both naturally occurring and magically induced. Assign a liaison to work with Dunstan on notification, pickup and acceptable charms for inducing the magical side. Going forward all known sets under five will be turned over to Dunstan immediately with full health and personal history documentation. Both islands.
